School News
NWJH also voted on Teacher of the Year, Support Staff of the Year, and Student of the Year.

Teacher of the Year:  Samantha Lewis
Mrs. Lewis has been married for 30 years to Terry Lewis, Jr.(TJ). She has 5 children: Pennie, Harley, Justin, Brianna, and Allison, 2 daughter-in-laws, one son-in-law, and two grandchildren. She has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. She is certified to teach any subject through 8th grade, Early Education, and Special Education through 12th grade. This will be her 10th year teaching. She is also the Cheer sponsor for our school and helps with Quiz Bowl.
Support Staff of the Year: April Ingle
Mrs. Ingle has been married to Blake Ingle for 18 years. She has 3 boys: Peyton, Preston, and Paxton. She has been working for the Webster Parish School System for 10 years. She worked as a paraprofessional for several years, and this will be her 5th year as the secretary for NWJH.  It is also safe to say she is the backbone of NWJH.
Student of the Year:  AnnaBeth Thomas
Her favorite school subject is science because it helps her discover why things in the universe happen the way that they do. It also makes her think more deeply about the world around her and inspires her to keep asking questions.
When she gets out of high school, she would like to become an orthopedic surgeon. She has always wanted to be a doctor, but she was inspired this past summer to be an orthopedic surgeon when she met an amazing female ortho surgeon who performed her sister’s scoliosis surgery. At NWJH, AnnaBeth is a member of 4-H, and she participates in livestock showing and Junior Leaders. Through 4-H, she stays active in her community by helping at local fairs, caring for animals, mentoring younger members just starting out, and representing her school and parish through hard work and good sportsmanship. Her hobbies include reading, baking, writing, and spending time with her family. She loves going to Starbucks with her mom, going to Hobby Lobby and doing
crafts with her Granna, and going hunting with her dad, even when he eats all the snacks and snores so loud that he scares the deer away! AnnaBeth has won numerous scholastic awards for reading and math, and she has won 2nd place at the NWJH social studies fair and 2nd place at the Louisiana Regional Social Studies fair. She has also
won 1st and 2nd place in livestock showing for the past four years and Reserve Grand Champion for market goats. Her favorite quote is, “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players,” by William Shakespeare. She likes this quote because it reminds her that everyone has a role to play in life, everyone has a purpose, every stage of life matters, and every stage we go through helps shape the people we become. She believes that she would be a good choice for NWJH Student of the Year because she takes pride in doing her best at everything that she does. She works hard in school, and she stays involved in 4-H with livestock showing and mentoring younger kids through Junior Leaders. She tries to always treat others with kindness and respect,
and she wants to set a positive example for younger students and show them that doing their best, even in small things, really matters. GPA - 3.6
 COME ONE, COME ALL!!
Hail to the King and Queen!
NWJH also selected our 2025 Mr. and Ms. Merry Christmas for the Upcoming Christmas Parade.

Around The Campus
Red Ribbon Week
North Webster Junior High participated in the annual Red Ribbon Week, a national drug prevention and awareness campaign. Throughout the week, students dressed up each day according to different themes and took part in activities promoting healthy, drug-free lifestyles. They also received a visit from Officer Jones, who educated them on the dangers of drug, alcohol, and tobacco use. To show their commitment to living drug-free, students were given red ribbons, the symbol of this important campaign.

See You At The Pole

First Priority Club sponsored the annual See You At The Pole event.  At North Webster Junior High, students gathered around the flagpole before school to pray together for their classmates, teachers, and community. The event encourages unity, faith, and positive leadership among students, reminding everyone of the power of coming together in support and prayer.

Rolling Pep rally
Also in October, NWJH students had the opportunity to participate in the annual Rolling Pep Rally, where the high school football team, band, spirit groups, and coaches visited each school to host a pep rally in celebration of the upcoming Knights football game. Students enjoyed exciting performances by the cheerleaders, danceline, pep squad, flag line, and majorettes, as well as fun games and school spirit activities.
Students Shine!!
In October, North Webster Junior High recently recognized students for their outstanding achievements during the first nine weeks of the school year. Awards were presented for academic excellence, perfect attendance, and positive behavior, celebrating students who demonstrated hard work, dedication, and leadership in the classroom. Congratulations to all the Chargers who continue to make NWJH proud through their effort and accomplishments!
Dance The Night Away
Those Chargers are at it again with their dancing spirit. To celebrate the spooky season, North Webster Junior High hosted its annual Halloween Dance! Students came dressed in creative costumes and enjoyed an evening filled with music, dancing, and fun. The event featured a costume contest, snacks, and plenty of opportunities for students to show their school spirit and have a great time with friends. It was a night full of laughter, energy, and Halloween excitement at NWJH!
